Brief Communication The Mental Arms Race Amplifier

چکیده
The use o f tools to obtain food is probably a long-standing hominid adaptation. Therefore, the rapid increase in hominid brain size over the last million years cannot be explained by selection for basic tool use alone. 350o alternative theories, here termed the ecological adaptation hypothesis and the intraspecific competition hypothesis, are reviewed and rejected. Instead, a combination of these two theories is offered: the mental arms race amplifier hypothesis.

Study and Analysis of A Simple Self Cascode Regulated Cascode Amplifier
This article proposed a simple self cascode RGC amplifier configuration to increase the gain and bandwidth. The cascode amplifier eliminates the miller capacitance between input and output and facilitates high gain, high input and output impedance with high bandwidth. However, the cascode amplifier requires relatively high supply voltage for proper operation and it decreases the output voltage ...
متن کاملDesign, Analysis and Simulation of a Linear Phase Distributed Amplifier
In this paper a new method for the design of a linear phase distributed amplifier in 180nm CMOS technology is presented. The method is based on analogy between transversal filters and distributed amplifiers topologies. In the proposed method the linearity of the phase at frequency range of 0-50 GHz is obtained by using proper weighting factors for each gain stage in cascaded amplifier topology....
متن کاملAnalysis and design of a CMOS current reused cascaded distributed amplifier with optimum noise performance
In this paper, analysis, simulation and design of a distributed amplifier (DA) with 0.13µm CMOS technology in the frequency range of 3-40 GHz is presented. Gain cell is a current reused circuit which is optimum in gain, noise figure, bandwidth and also power dissipation. To improve the noise performance in the frequency range of interest, a T-matching low pass filter LC network which is utilize...
متن کاملAnalyzing the Effect Adding an Active Feedback Network with an Inductive behavior to a Common-Gate Topology as a Transimpedance Amplifier for Low-Power and Wide-Band Communication Applications
Common Gate (CG) topologies are commonly used as the first stage in Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIA), due to their low input resistance. But, this structure is not solely used as a TIA and comes with other topologies such as differential amplifiers or negative resistances and capacitances. This paper deals with analyzing the effect of adding an active feedback network to a common gate topology...
متن کاملVoltage Differencing Buffered Amplifier based Voltage Mode Four Quadrant Analog Multiplier and its Applications
In this paper a voltage mode four quadrant analog multiplier (FQAM) using voltage differencing buffered amplifier (VDBA) based on quarter square algebraic identity is presented. In the proposed FQAM the passive resistor can be implemented using MOSFETs operating in saturationregion thereby making it suitable for integration. The effect of non idealities of VDBA has also been analyzed in this pa...
